Designers

Camera designers are a unique breed of inventors with futuristic vision. Industrial design covers anything from household items to cars, motorcycles, stereo systems, telescopes, boats, etc. Camera design has something different because it's more central in peoples lives. It plays the main role in weddings, and parties, and even recording the first steps of man on the moon. Camera designers are really a dying breed because mobile phones are gradually replacing cameras. See July-Sep 2018 issue of Optomechanix for a brief coverage of major players in photo industry.
