Hasselblad Moon Camera

This is one of the most desirable cameras at museums because of its historical significance. The construction of Space camera was a special application for Hasselblad because everything had to be made from metal. Plastic parts would generate static energy, and in the moon surface, build up of static electricity could be lethal. The film flatness was crucial and also temperature variance in space. Hasselblad utilized Invar metering rods between a glass plate inside the camera, called Reseau plate, and the lens. The Reseau plate gave the characteristic cross hair pattern on all the moon images.
