This Minox projector was for viewing slides individually by inserting them on a two capacity slide carrier that rocked back and forth between slides. This was the classic method of slide viewing in the dark until automatic slide projectors came about with motorized advance that changed slides from a straight or rotary magazine.
This design looks like a bird. with an adjustment screw in front to adjust projection height. It's a simple, and well done design with air cooled lamp housing. Those who used these things in their childhood remember how nice the lamp smelled during the projection. The lamp also made shadows of the person changing the slide on the ceiling. Non of these happen while watching the comfortable LCD monitors.
The projector's top cover is removed for lamp replacement.
Minox manufactured had to make their own slide mounts.
